This elaborate French home with meticulous details was recently completed. The home is set on a leftover lot in an area of beautiful, older homes on a highly regarded road. An small older home was torn down and its acreage was divided into two separate lots. This lot had been overlooked because it appeared to be an active, draining ravine. No one would touch it because they assumed water would be an expensive issue to correct. It was heavily wooded with trees and brambles, but while walking the land, I realized that the ravine had not drained the area since the road was put in place many decades ago.
Though somewhat narrow (which required the front garage,) the deep lot turned out to be a beautiful asset, creating a wonderful backdrop for this impressive home. Notice the perfect lay of the land in the back- the main level sits high above a basement for wonderful views, but the side of the property rises in such a way that one can walk directly off the raised terrace onto ground.
